If a street was included in the ZIP code to the left, the line would run parallel to the street on the right (and visa-versa if it was the opposite). If the street was split (one ZIP on one side and a different ZIP on the opposite side), the ZIP boundary would run down the centerline. Post Office does not maintain zip codes by parcel value.
